Sleep Well
What is it?
Sleep Well is a 2 hour course that provides you with knowledge and strategies to help reduce sleep problems and improve your sleep quality.
Sleep Well uses techniques from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), a psychological therapy that focuses on the relationships between thoughts (cognitions), behaviours and feelings. CBT is proven to be effective in helping a variety of sleep problems. The course does not discuss specific sleep disorders but focuses on the common challenges surrounding sleep problems and how to overcome these. NHS staff delivering the course will provide guidance towards further resources if participants feel more input is required going forward.
This 2 hour course, teaches core concepts of good sleep habits and strategies to improve sleep with the aid of an accompanying workbook. The group session is in the form of a live presentation delivered by NHS Fife Assistant Psychologists. This is not group therapy, so you will not be asked to share personal experiences or speak in front of others. Just sit back, listen and take it all in.
