Emotional Eating

What is it?

Emotional eating is a very common human response to stressful life events. This session aims to help young people understand why we do this and look at strategies to be more aware of eating what our bodies need and when.

What does the workshop involve?

  • Clinicians will deliver an interactive workshop with information and discussion.

  • You will receive worksheets to support your learning.

  • This is for young people aged 12 – 17 years old

How will this help me?

Increased understanding of:

  • Why we eat and how eating affects our bodies and our minds

  • Why we might eat even when we’re not hungry

  • Helpful strategies to use for coping with our emotions
